The Cold Podcast

The Cold Podcast is the story of Susan Powell and her disappearance. You probably remember this story from about 6 years ago but the reporter who authored this story has done 3 years of research. The podcast has 17 episodes each around 1 hour long. The story teller and the detailed facts kept me keenly interested in each episode. Susan was a Mormon which affected her views on marriage. Her husband, Josh Powell, was a dysfunctional person from a dysfunctional family. All the above elements created a very sad and bizarre story. I give the podcast 5 of 5 stars mostly because I'm a true crime fan and raised a mormon.

The Coldest Case in Laramie from Serial

The coldest case in Laramie is a podcast about a murder 30 years prior and narrated by a New York times journalist who was in high school at the time. The podcast tells the story of bad police work, faulty memories and creepy suspects. I can't rate this 4 stars because I thought the recording of the suspect interviews went on a bit too long. The case does not get wrapped up in a nice bow. 3 1/2 stars out of 4

Suspect

 I finished season 1 last year and then forgot about the series, just started season 2. The episodes are clear and concise but I'm basically reviewing season 1. The podcast starts on Halloween night in Redmond, Washington. The next day, a young woman, Aprana is found dead. There is no shortage of suspects. I liked the podcast and it kept me intrigued.
